Instruction, Clinics, & Juniors

Junior Golf Program

A Briarwood Junior Membership is not required. Beginners, 9-hole Intermediates and 9-hole Advanced will all receive instruction from Briarwood professionals.

Beginners must be age 5 or older with little or no experience. After the 1:00 pm instruction session, they play a hole or two on the course, with parents required to remain with the child during the entire program.

9-hole Advanced have a scoring requirement of 50 or better and must be able to play in two hours. 9-hole Intermediates have a scoring requirement of 70 or better and must be able to play in two and a half hours. Instruction begins at 12:00 pm for 9-hole Advanced, with tee times at 1:00 pm. Instruction begins at 12:30 pm for 9-hole Intermediates, with tee times at 1:30 pm.

Tournament dates are Wednesdays beginning June 12th.
Championship will be held on August 7th.

Registration fee is $35 per person.
Weekly play fees - $5 for beginners, $10 for 9-holers.

Private Individual Lessons

Private Lessons: $60 per lesson
Private Lesson Series: $200 for 4 private lessons

Group Clinics

Golf clinics are geared to beginner and intermediate players interested in improving their play by learning and practicing golf’s basic fundamentals.

Skills are introduced in a logical order to build a functional golf swing allowing students to play and enjoy the game of golf.

Clinic entry includes a 9 hole round of golf with cart rental.

Clinics meet 2 times per week for 2 weeks from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Meeting nights are Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday evenings.

Cost is $130 per person. If prepaid before the first night of class – $120.00 pp.

Equipment provided if needed. Students with equipment should bring 5, 7, 9 irons and putter to first class.
